ARLINGTON, Texas - Franco DiSanto dan Florent Malouda menjaringkan dua gol dalam tempoh dua minit untuk Chelsea menang 2-0 ke atas kelab Mexico, America pada perlawanan akhir kejohanan persahabatan Cabaran Bola Sepak Dunia, kelmarin.

Malouda memanfaatkan hantaran Ashley Cole dan menyepak bola lambung di depan pintu gol di mana DiSanto memperdayakan penjaga gol America Armando Navarrete pada minit ke-76.

Dua minit kemudian, DiSanto menewaskan pemain pertahanan Oscar Rojas dan menghantar bola kepada Malouda yang sekali lagi menyebabkan Navarrete tertewas.

Chelsea kekal tanpa kalah dalam saingan empat pasukan pada kejohanan menggunakan format round robin yang dilangsungkan di enam bandar raya di Amerika Syarikat sejak minggu lalu.

America di tempat kedua, satu mata di belakang Inter Milan manakala AC Milan di tempat keempat.

Jaringan Chelsea dihasilkan 15 minit selepas America gagal menyempurnakan dua peluang gol terbaik mereka.

Pada minit ke-61, penjaga gol Chelsea, Ross Turnbull menepas sepakan Enrique Esqueda.

Dua minit kemudian, sepakan bebas Pavel Pardo terkena kepala pemain penyerang Salvador Cabanas, menyebabkan bola tersasar.

Esqueda juga terlepas peluang gol di babak pertama apabila penjaga gol Hilario menepis tandukannya.

Seminit kemudian, sepakan Esqueda pula tersasar.

Chelsea mengekalkan pemain ternama di bangku simpanan. Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba, Michael Ballack dan John Terry tidak beraksi.

America juga beraksi tanpa penjaga gol utama Guillermo Ochoa, yang membantu Mexico menang 5-0 ke atas Amerika Syarikat pada perlawanan akhir Piala Emas CONCACAF. - AP

Ulasan/ramalan musim depan

Chelsea dijangka akan juara musim ini namun MU takkan memberi laluan mudah kepada mereka sementara Liverpool pula cuba mencelah dan menunggu peluang keemasan untuk berada ditakhta liga jika berlakunya prestasi yang merudum oleh pasukan Chelsea dan MU..Arsenal dan Man.City pula bersilih ganti kedudukan posisi no.4&5 sepanjang musim..dan pasukan seperti Tottenham,Everton dan Aston Villa sering mengganggu gugat pasukan teratas..manakala pasukan kerdil Harimau Muda FC dijangka akan memberi kejutan kerana telah menunjukkan aksi hebat semasa tewas tipis kepada MU baru-baru ini.

Official: Didier Drogba Signs New Deal To Stay At Chelsea Until 2012

The Ivorian has committed his future to the Stamford Bridge outfit...

Didier Drogba has today signed a new deal at Chelsea that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until at least 2012.

The striker, who for much of last season looked as though he might leave the Blues whilst Luiz Felipe Scolari was manager at the club before reviving his form under the leadership of Guus Hiddink, was delighted to have signed the new deal.
"I have decided to extend my contract with Chelsea for two extra years and I am very happy and proud to continue to wear the blue of Chelsea until then," the 31-year-old told Chelsea's official website.


"I love the club, I feel good here and I want to continue to win titles with them. I stay because I am ambitious to pick up lots more trophies, regain the Premier League title, win cups, it's for this that I have extended my time at Chelsea.

"But my number one objective is to win the Champions League. I am convinced that this year we can go to the end and finally lift this trophy.

"I'd like to take advantage of this message to thank the Chelsea supporters who have always encouraged me with fervour as well as all my fans."

The Ivorian scored 14 goals last season, and has now made 216 appearances for the club. He is now ninth on the Blues' list of all-time goalscorers.
